The St Mary s orthopaedic occupational therapy team consists of five staff. Patients seen have a wide range of orthopaedic and surgical conditions and their needs are frequently complex. The aim of the team is to maximise functional ability and to ensure optimum clinical risk management with all our patients.
St Mary s established occupational therapy service requires a team leader in orthopaedics and surgery services. We need you to further develop existing and new ways of working and to contribute to services which are continually evolving to meet the needs of service users in hospital and the community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated occupational therapist with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our inpatient team. We will offer excellent experience in a supportive environment helping to develop your career and where you will benefit from unrivalled opportunities for professional development, education and research.
You will have excellent skills and experience in orthopaedic and surgery services including amputee management. This post requires you to supervise and mentor the team through some exciting changes to orthopaedic services at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, including in October 2010 the major trauma centre at St Mary s Hospital.
