JOB TITLE: Developing Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Adults with Learning Disabilities
GRADE: Band 6
HOURS: 36.5
CONTRACT DURATION: Permanent
We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, working as part of an integrated Community Team for Adults with Learning Disabilities in North London
The successful candidate should hold a degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent together with HPC and RCSLT registration, with at least 1 years post graduate experience of working with adults with Learning disabilities or similar relevant clinical settings.
Working knowledge in the area of ALD, specialist assessments and interventions relevant to this client group is essential. Experience in the management of Dysphagia related conditions is desirable with the potential to develop this more formally as required.
Experience in supporting, supervising and training students and less experienced junior members of staff is desirable.
